Join a highly regarded litigation team representing public entities in complex and meaningful civil litigation matters. We are seeking a motivated Litigation Secretary who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys supporting attorneys from case inception through trial and appeal, and takes pride in producing high-quality work. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse range of matters, including public entity defense, employment litigation, government liability, land use, civil rights defense, and constitutional claims, while developing your skills within a collaborative and supportive team.

Requirements & Responsibilities

  • Manage litigation support tasks including state and federal e-filing, calendaring court deadlines, preparing Tables of Contents and Authorities, formatting legal documents, drafting correspondence, and preparing discovery shells.
  • Support attorneys handling public entity defense, employment defense, government liability, land use, civil rights, and related civil litigation matters from inception through trial and appeal.
  • Ensure compliance with court rules, statutory deadlines, government claims procedures, and public records requirements while maintaining accurate case files and schedules.
  • Serve as a reliable team player with exceptional organizational, communication, and time-management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Prior litigation experience required; experience in public entity defense, employment litigation, government liability, land use litigation, or civil rights defense is highly preferred, along with a strong desire to learn and grow professionally.
